In an era, where  urbanization has become a key driving force of Cultural Globalization, the author with the help of interviews and questionnaire, turns his attention more specifically to its impact on the urban scenario of India and Kerala, in particular and very specially upon the city of Kochi.  Without neglecting the issue of urban poverty, he deals above all with the unban middle-class families of Kerala.
