The conferring of Doctorate Diadem

Rev. Fr. Judy Michael OCD is conferred with the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in English Language and Literature from Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam University, Indore. His scholarly thesis attempts to prove that the Epic poem The Waste Land by T.S Eliot, remains as the symbol of an age and a classical unbeaten monument in English Literature. His research thesis entitled – An Existential Consciousness and Redemptive Actualization of the Self (an existential and analytical paradigm approach to the poem the waste land by T.S Eliot), will be counted as a written record of metaphysical and sacred in essence rooted in both the Western and Eastern Philosophical and Theological perception and fashion.

Fr. Judy Michael deserves a remarkable and distinct applaud for being the first religious of Carmelite Province of Manjummel to bag a Doctorate degree in English. He came out in flying colors as he secured the grade of Distinction for his Academic Research Defense and Viva – voce.
