Solemn Blessing and Dedication of Infant Jesus Church at Carmel Ashram, Ayyampilly
Ayyampilly, November 16, 2024 –
In a momentous occasion marked by deep faith and joy, the newly constructed Infant Jesus Church at Carmel Ashram, Ayyampilly, was solemnly blessed and dedicated by His Excellency Rt. Rev. Dr. Ambrose Puthenveettil, Bishop of the Kottapuram Diocese. The ceremony, held at 4:00 PM, witnessed the convergence of clergy, religious, and a large congregation of the faithful.
The event was graced by the presence of the Provincial Superior of the St. Pius X Province, Fr. Augustine Mulloor OCD, along with councilors and many Carmelite Fathers. Their presence underscored the unity and commitment of the Order of Discalced Carmelites to the spiritual enrichment of the community.
The solemn liturgical celebrations began with a blessing ritual, followed by the Eucharistic celebration led by Bishop Dr. Ambrose Puthenveettil. In his homily, the Bishop emphasized the significance of the Infant Jesus Church as a spiritual haven and a beacon of hope for the faithful. He commended the Carmelite Fathers for their dedication in nurturing the spiritual life of the community.
