Carmel Cafe: Embarking a new mission initiative.

The Mission team under the leadership of Very Rev. Fr. Provincial, Fr. Augustine Mulloor OCD, initiated a ‘Thattulada’ (coffee Shop) in the Varapuzha Basilica from August 12-15, in connection with the Titular feast of the Varapuzha Basilica. A laity group from Mulavukad called the Josephine Loving Community supported us all throughout; we were also helped by our Theology Brothers at Manjummel and our fathers who became actively involved in the project, and contributed with their presence and hardwork. The objective of this venture was to create an awareness for mission also among the laity, thereby initiating collaborative ministry, and to raise funds for Odisha and Zambia Mission. We are proud that this mission-innovation turned out to be a glimmer of great hope and promise for the many more forthcoming innovative approaches of the province aiming at the growth of our mission lands.
