Blessing of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Monastery,

An auspicious and privileged moment dawned in the horizon of St. Pius X Province Manjummel, as Rev. Dr. Augustine Mulloor OCD, provincial, blessed a new monastery at Mwanjuwanthu in Zambia on Saturday 12th May 2018. This monastery dedicated to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, is the second carmelite monastery in the diocese of Chipata-Zambia. The blessing ceremony was solemnized by the Holy Eucharist presided over by  His Excellency Rev. Dr. George Thambla OCD, bishop of Malawi and the homily preached by His Excellency Rev. Dr. Benjamin Phiri, auxiliary bishop of Chipata.
