Theology course begins after Regency and it lasts for four years. This period has to take into account three aspects of formation among many others: religious and Carmelite formation, priestly formation and intellectual or doctrinal formation.
The growth process of the religious Carmelite vocation of the students continues in this stage so that they may lead more fully the proper life of our Order and carry out its mission more suitably. This stage, however, has to aim at forming the priestly personality of the students to whom the lord has given this call.
Although the specific priestly formation ought to be present all through the various phases of formation, it receives special care at the time of theological studies. Such a formation is to be spiritual and apostolic, doctrinal and practical, taking into account the needs of the Church and the circumstances of human persons and times.

“Trials are nothing else but the forge that purifies the soul of all its imperfections.”
“May my life be a continual prayer, a long act of love.”
“God gives me courage in proportion to my sufferings. I feel at this moment I couldn’t suffer any more, but I’m not afraid, since if they increase, He will increase my courage at the same time.
“Let nothing disturb you. Let nothing make you afraid. All things are passing. God alone never changes. Patience gains all things. If you have God, you will want for nothing. God alone suffices.”
Faith “is like the feet wherewith the soul journeys to God, and love is the guide that directs it.”
“The endurance of darkness is the preparation for great light.”
“Strive to preserve your heart in peace; let no event of this world disturb it.”
“don’t wait until tomorrow to begin becoming a saint.”
“Let us love, since that is what our hearts were made for.”
“Miss no single opportunity of making some small sacrifice, here by a smiling look, there by a kindly word; always doing the smallest right and doing it all for love.”
