MESSAGE OF

THE XVII ORDINARY PROVINCIAL CHAPTER 2017

OF MANJUMMEL PROVINCE

The XVII Ordinary Provincial Chapter of Manjummel Province of St. Pius X, gathered under the gentle shadow of the Risen Lord, looked at its unique PAST in the history of our Order with GRATITUDE, decided to live the PRESENT with PASSION for Christ and envisaged its FUTURE with great HOPE. With gratitude to all the members of the Province for their prayer, service and silent suffering, the Chapter invites every friar:

  • To imitate the LIFE OF CHRIST in every aspect of our life style.
  • To follow the example and seek the help of OUR LADY OF MOUNT CARMEL in imitating Christ Jesus.
  • To be enthused by the teachings of our HOLY PARENTS, St. Teresa of Avila, St. John of the Cross, and other Carmelite saints, in our personal and communitarian FRIENDSHIP WITH CHRIST.
  • To intensify our FRATERNAL LIFE in the community through forgiving care and generous sharing, cordial communication and friendly dialogue, common prayer, common table and shared toil.
  • To continue to FORM ONESELF in the path of CONTEMPLATION AND ACTION, following strictly the daily TIME TABLE and COMMUNITY ACTS
  • To enable the FORMATION OF THE FORMEES of the Province by an exemplary Carmelite life lived in “ALLEGIANCE TO JESUS CHRIST”.
  • To express our fraternal charismatic communion with our CLOISTERED NUNS, especially those of our Province, by taking spiritual responsibility of their formation.
  • To take up the risk and challenge of leaving everything for the sake of the poor in our MISSIONS.
  • To emerge as LIGHT OF CHRIST for those in darkness, spiritually and materially, wherever we are being sent.

DEO GRATIAS!
